Join the Lunavax Advisory Board to Advance Equitable Vaccine Access

As LunaVax advances the design and readiness phase of Nigeria’s first microneedle vaccine patch (MAP) pilot under the Harvard Medical School GCSRT program, we’re inviting a select group of global experts and innovators to help guide the journey.

Through the LunaVax Advisory Board, we’re bringing together thought leaders across regulatory science, manufacturing, policy, data, market readiness, and sustainable financing to shape a shared roadmap for equitable vaccine access and local production in Africa.

Advancing the Roadmap

In October 2025, LunaVax published the Nigeria 3-Phase MAP Vaccine Roadmap (2025–2030) — a plan to pilot, scale, and locally produce thermostable microneedle patches that can deliver vaccines safely, needle-free, and closer to every family.

Guided by the Advisory Board, the comprehensive edition of the roadmap will shape the next phase of implementation and advance Africa’s vaccine access and self-reliance agenda.

Advisory Focus

Advisors will serve as strategic thought partners, providing high-level guidance and mentorship across five key pillars to advance the implementation of LunaVax’s roadmap in Nigeria and beyond:

  • Regulatory & Clinical – approval and PQ pathways aligned with NAFDAC, WHO, AVAREF.
  • Manufacturing & Tech Transfer – pilot-line concepts and GMP readiness; collaboration among MAP developers.
  • Policy & Global Health – alignment with Nigeria MoH, Africa CDC, WHO.
  • Access & Growth Readiness – sustainable production, local capacity, community engagement, and last-mile delivery.
  • Financing & Sustainability – scalable funding models for long-term impact.

Each advisor will contribute approximately 2–3 hours per quarter through virtual meetings and consultations.

Desired Expertise

We invite professionals and experts from across:

  • Vaccine R&D / Regulatory science (WHO/PATH/AVAREF engagement)
  • Clinical research & trial operations (study design, ethics, implementation research)
  • Biotech / Pharmaceutical manufacturing (MAPs, biologics, or fill-finish)
  • Supply chain & last-mile logistics (distribution, inventory, and mobile delivery)
  • Policy & global health (government, Africa CDC, WHO, Gavi/CEPI/UNICEF)
  • Community engagement & outreach (local partnerships or awareness programs)
  • Digital health / Biometrics integration
  • Financing, market access, or sustainable investment partnerships
  • Academic & implementation science (e.g., Harvard GCSRT faculty, fellows, and alumni)

Advisory roles are volunteer and mission-aligned at this stage. Members will be recognized across LunaVax channels and considered for future compensated engagements as the organization grows.
