Join the LunaVax Team
Videographer & Media Producer
Location: On-site in one of LunaVax’s pilot locations in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Adamawa, or Anambra), with ability to travel between sites as required.
Type: Contract or Project-based
Overview:
At LunaVax, we are advancing new vaccine technologies while building visibility, trust, and community engagement around innovation. As our Videographer & Media Producer, you’ll play a central role in shaping how the world sees our pilot: capturing the real stories of families, health workers, and communities at the forefront of immunization.
From filming on-the-ground interviews and documenting field activities, to editing powerful digital content that resonates globally, you’ll ensure LunaVax’s MAP pilot is not only implemented but remembered. Your work will amplify our mission, strengthen advocacy, and create assets that connect local impact with global audiences.
Responsibilities:
- Film short-form and long-form video content during pilot activities across sites (clinics, pharmacies, schools, and community events).
- Capture interviews with participants, volunteers, health workers, and partners to highlight diverse voices.
- Produce high-quality photography for use across LunaVax platforms, reports, and partner communications.
- Edit raw footage into polished content suitable for social media, presentations, donor updates, and awareness campaigns.
- Work with the communications and advocacy team to align visuals with LunaVax’s brand identity and storytelling style.
- Ensure proper backup, cataloguing, and delivery of video/photo assets for long-term use.
- Maintain and manage camera and filming equipment during field activities.
Preferred Qualifications:
-
3–5+ years of professional videography and editing experience.
-
Portfolio: Strong body of work in documentary, NGO, or mission-driven storytelling, ideally with global health, humanitarian, or development organizations (e.g., WHO, UNICEF, Gates Foundation).
-
Technical expertise in professional camera operation, lighting, audio capture, and editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or similar).
-
Comfortable handling both on-site filming and post-production editing independently.
-
Access to personal professional camera equipment is strongly preferred; LunaVax may supplement with additional gear if required.
-
Ability to travel between pilot sites in Nigeria as required.
-
A creative eye for framing, lighting, and capturing authentic human stories.
-
Familiarity with nonprofit, public health, or development-sector projects is a plus.
-
Applicants are encouraged to include a portfolio link or 2–3 sample works demonstrating their videography, editing, and storytelling skills.
What You'll Gain:
- A front-row seat to one of Africa’s most innovative vaccine pilots, with the chance to document impact in real time.
- An opportunity to develop a portfolio of high-visibility content used across global platforms, advocacy campaigns, and media.
- Close collaboration with LunaVax’s leadership, advisors, and partners shaping the future of immunization.
- A chance to document frontline impact in Nigeria and potentially cover global health convenings such as the Conference on Public Health in Africa (CPHIA), connecting local stories to global movements.
- Flexible project-based engagement, with potential for ongoing collaborations as LunaVax expands.
Travel Requirements:
-
Ability to travel between pilot sites in Nigeria (Lagos, Abuja, Adamawa, and Anambra) as required.
-
Ability to obtain a South African visa if travel to South Africa becomes part of the role. LunaVax will provide invitation letters and supporting documentation as needed.
Compensation:
This is a project-based contract role with a fee range of $2,500 to $4,000 per project phase (₦3,800,000 – ₦6,100,000), depending on experience, scope, and deliverables. Most projects are expected to fall within the $2,500 to $3,000 range, with higher compensation considered for exceptional senior-level work. Travel and field expenses will be fully covered when on site at pilot locations.
While the role begins on a project basis, there may be opportunities for ongoing or expanded collaboration including potential long term roles if there is strong alignment with LunaVax’s mission and growth plans.
