At the heart of our LunaChain are six connected layers, each designed to bridge gaps and scale impact:
- Microneedle Vaccine Patches (MAPs)
Stamp-sized patches that replace painful injections with an easier, more portable option that can be stored and transported even in low-resource settings. - Biometric ID Tools
Recognizing everyone means reaching everyone. Biometric tools enable reliable patient tracking and continuity of care where birth records or formal ID may be missing. - Mobile Delivery (Vans + Drones)
Flexible last-mile logistics that take vaccines directly to families, beyond fixed clinics and central health centers. - Data Visibility Platforms
Real-time dashboards that give clinics and partners visibility into deliveries, stock levels, and system performance; enabling faster coordination, troubleshooting, and response. - Traditional Vials, Reimagined
While our pilot begins with microneedle patches, LunaVax is preparing to integrate RNA, saRNA, DNA, viral vector, and protein subunit vaccines, tailored to Africa’s health priorities. - Africa-Based Manufacturing
Localizing production to reduce dependence on external supply chains and future-proof access.

Our First Layer: The MAP Pilot
Before vaccines can reach the people who need them most, we need to ensure the system is ready, from storage and delivery to clinic workflows and community trust. That’s where the MAP pilot comes in.
You can’t scale access without testing the system first.
Our pilot is launching across four key locations in Nigeria: Lagos, Abuja, Adamawa, and Anambra to evaluate the usability, logistics, and system-readiness of this next-generation vaccine format. This early-phase effort focuses on:
- Assessing community response to the patch format
- Testing storage, transport, and handling feasibility
- Integrating biometric tools for smarter tracking
- Pilot MAP delivery workflows with local health facilities (clinics, pharmacies, and hospitals)
While no live vaccines are being administered yet, this pilot is laying the groundwork for broader rollout and long-term integration.
